Solutions provided:

A homeowner contacted Crawlspace Titans with concerns about uneven floors in the kitchen and main living area, as well as moisture issues in the crawlspace. During our inspection, we observed pooling water at the lowest point of the crawlspace, poor interior grading contributing to water accumulation, and visible fungal growth on wooden surfaces. Support beams were still in place, but sections of the subfloor and joists had softened due to prolonged exposure to moisture. Although the homeowner already had a dehumidifier in place, these conditions were causing structural issues and continued fungal growth.

To address the concerns, our team removed all contaminated insulation to eliminate moisture-trapping materials and performed a full fungal treatment throughout the crawlspace. We installed a comprehensive perimeter drainage system designed to capture water and direct it safely to a sump pump, ensuring immediate removal of any standing water. Finally, the crawlspace was fully encapsulated with a durable 125-mil vapor barrier, creating a sealed environment to prevent future moisture intrusion.

This complete solution stabilized the floors, mitigated fungal damage, and provided a clean, dry, and healthier crawlspace environment while complementing the homeowner’s existing dehumidification system.
