Job completed for Greg G.

Completion date: December 5, 2025

Location: Shelbyville, TN

Why did the customer contact us?

The homeowner reached out to us after completing new remodeling work on their home and wanted to make sure the crawlspace was upgraded as well to protect their recent investment. They understood that moisture and air quality issues below the home can directly impact finished spaces above, so they chose to proactively remodel the crawlspace to help ensure long-term protection, durability, and peace of mind.

Solutions provided:

Because this was an older home, an initial excavation and dig-out was required in the crawlspace to achieve proper access and clearance. During our evaluation, we discovered fungal growth throughout the crawlspace that needed to be addressed before any long-term solutions could be installed. To protect the homeowner’s newly remodeled living space, we recommended a full crawlspace encapsulation to eliminate excess moisture and prevent future fungal growth. Prior to installing the encapsulation system, the entire area was disinfected using our professional chemical treatment to neutralize existing fungus. We also installed a crawlspace dehumidifier to properly condition the air and maintain healthy humidity levels, along with a new insulated crawlspace door to improve energy efficiency and prevent animal intrusion.
