Completion date: February 24, 2026
Location: Lebanon, TN
Why did the customer contact us?
The homeowner contacted us while preparing to list their home for sale. They wanted to address any potential crawlspace issues ahead of time to ensure the property was in good condition for prospective buyers. They had noticed standing water in the crawlspace and wanted to resolve the issue before putting the home on the market.
Solutions provided:
After performing a full crawlspace inspection, we identified areas where water was penetrating along the foundation wall and collecting in low spots within the crawlspace. To properly manage this water intrusion, we recommended installing an interior drainage system that directs water to a sump pump basin.
Interior drain tile is designed to capture water as it enters the crawlspace and channel it efficiently to a sump pump system. The sump pump then removes the water from the crawlspace and discharges it safely away from the home through a buried exterior drain line.
As part of the project, we installed a new sump pump system with an exterior discharge line to properly remove collected water. We also repaired and sealed the crawlspace vapor barrier along the foundation walls to improve moisture control and enhance the overall performance of the drainage system.
By addressing the water intrusion and improving the crawlspace environment, the homeowner was able to move forward with listing their home knowing the issue had been properly resolved.
