The customer contacted us regarding structural concerns. An engineer’s report provided a recommended scope of work, and the customer has previously attempted to correct the dropped floors but wants to have the issue properly and correctly addressed.

Structural stabilization work was completed to reinforce and support the floor system. Eight power posts measuring 5 feet or higher and one power post measuring 5 feet or less were installed on engineered poly-based footers to provide stable load distribution and improve floor support and levelness. A two-post power post system with a steel beam was also installed to distribute structural loads. Four failed or improperly installed metal shims were removed and replaced with structural-grade steel shims to restore proper load transfer and stable support. An additional power post was installed in the garage, along with a steel plate under the beam for added structural reinforcement. Minor cosmetic movement, such as hairline drywall cracks or trim separation, may occur during structural stabilization and is not included in the work.
