The customer contacted us due to water penetration and fungal growth in the crawlspace, along with noticeable floor movement and squeaking in the living room. The inspection found inadequate support beneath the floor system, moisture intrusion from exterior downspouts, and conditions contributing to elevated crawlspace moisture.

We provided a comprehensive moisture-control and structural stabilization solution. This included installing a supplemental 4x6 support beam with two adjustable Power Posts on engineered footings to reduce floor deflection and improve structural stability. Damaged debris was removed and disposed of, and affected areas were treated for light organic growth. A 12-mil white poly vapor barrier was installed throughout the crawlspace, with crawlspace vents sealed to support proper encapsulation. A 120PPD dehumidifier with a condensation pump was installed for ongoing humidity control. Exterior drainage was also improved by burying and extending the front downspouts to pop-up drains and repairing the rear downspouts that were contributing to water penetration.
